Lighttpd
lighttpd is an open-source web server optimized for speed-critical environments. It was originally written by Jan Kneschke as a proof-of-concept of the c10k problem – how to handle 10,000 connections in parallel on one server, but has gained worldwide popularity. Its name is a portmanteau of "light" and "httpd".

| CVE-2014-2323 | Cri | 0.69 | 9.8 | 0.62 | Mar 14, 2014 | SQL injection vulnerability in mod_mysql_vhost.c in lighttpd before 1.4.35 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the host name, related to request_check_hostname. | ||
| CVE-2026-22903 | Cri | 0.64 | 9.8 | 0.01 | Feb 9, 2026 | An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a crafted HTTP request containing an overly long SESSIONID cookie. This can trigger a stack buffer overflow in the modified lighttpd server, causing it to crash and potentially enabling remote code execution due to missing stack… | ||
| CVE-2015-3200 | Hig | 0.50 | 7.5 | 0.10 | Jun 9, 2015 | mod_auth in lighttpd before 1.4.36 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary log entries via a basic HTTP authentication string without a colon character, as demonstrated by a string containing a NULL and new line character. | ||
| CVE-2013-4508 | Hig | 0.49 | 7.5 | 0.03 | Nov 8, 2013 | lighttpd before 1.4.34, when SNI is enabled, configures weak SSL ciphers, which makes it easier for remote attackers to hijack sessions by inserting packets into the client-server data stream or obtain sensitive information by sniffing the network. | ||
| CVE-2018-25103 | Med | 0.27 | 5.3 | 0.01 | Jun 17, 2024 | There exists use-after-free vulnerabilities in lighttpd <= 1.4.50 request parsing which might read from invalid pointers to memory used in the same request, not from other requests. | ||
| CVE-2022-30780 | 0.07 | — | 0.56 | Jun 11, 2022 | Lighttpd 1.4.56 through 1.4.58 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption from stuck connections) because connection_read_header_more in connections.c has a typo that disrupts use of multiple read operations on large headers. | |||
| CVE-2019-11072 | 0.06 | — | 0.74 | Apr 10, 2019 | lighttpd before 1.4.54 has a signed integer overflow, which might allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a malicious HTTP GET request, as demonstrated by mishandling of /%2F? in… | |||
| CVE-2012-5533 | 0.04 | — | 0.12 | Nov 24, 2012 | The http_request_split_value function in request.c in lighttpd before 1.4.32 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via a request with a header containing an empty token, as demonstrated using the "Connection: TE,,Keep-Alive" header. | |||
| CVE-2011-4362 | 0.04 | — | 0.16 | Dec 24, 2011 | Integer signedness error in the base64_decode function in the HTTP authentication functionality (http_auth.c) in lighttpd 1.4 before 1.4.30 and 1.5 before SVN revision 2806 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (segmentation fault) via crafted base64 input that… | |||
| CVE-2010-0295 | 0.04 | — | 0.12 | Feb 3, 2010 | lighttpd before 1.4.26, and 1.5.x, allocates a buffer for each read operation that occurs for a request, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) by breaking a request into small pieces that are sent at a slow rate. | |||
| CVE-2008-1270 | 0.04 | — | 0.12 | Mar 10, 2008 | mod_userdir in lighttpd 1.4.18 and earlier, when userdir.path is not set, uses a default of $HOME, which might allow remote attackers to read arbitrary files, as demonstrated by accessing the ~nobody directory. | |||
| CVE-2007-3947 | 0.04 | — | 0.08 | Jul 24, 2007 | request.c in lighttpd 1.4.15 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (daemon crash) by sending an HTTP request with duplicate headers, as demonstrated by a request containing two Location header lines, which results in a segmentation fault. | |||
