CWE-416
Use After Free
Description
The product reuses or references memory after it has been freed. At some point afterward, the memory may be allocated again and saved in another pointer, while the original pointer references a location somewhere within the new allocation. Any operations using the original pointer are no longer valid because the memory "belongs" to the code that operates on the new pointer.

| CVE-2025-52885 | Med | 0.40 | — | 0.00 | Oct 10, 2025 | Poppler ia a library for rendering PDF files, and examining or modifying their structure. A use-after-free (write) vulnerability has been detected in versions Poppler prior to 25.10.0 within the StructTreeRoot class. The issue arises from the use of raw pointers to elements of a `std::vector`, which can lead to dangling pointers when the vector is resized. The vulnerability stems from the way that refToParentMap stores references to `std::vector` elements using raw pointers. These pointers may become invalid when the vector is resized. This vulnerability is a common security problem involving the use of raw pointers to `std::vectors`. Internally, `std::vector `stores its elements in a dynamically allocated array. When the array reaches its capacity and a new element is added, the vector reallocates a larger block of memory and moves all the existing elements to the new location. At this point if any pointers to elements are stored before a resize occurs, they become dangling pointers once the reallocation happens. Version 25.10.0 contains a patch for the issue. | |
| CVE-2025-31946 | Med | 0.40 | 6.2 | 0.00 | May 8, 2025 | Pixmeo OsiriX MD is vulnerable to a local use after free scenario, which could allow an attacker to locally import a crafted DICOM file and cause memory corruption or a system crash. | |
| CVE-2025-65953 | Med | 0.39 | — | 0.00 | Nov 25, 2025 | NanoMQ MQTT Broker (NanoMQ) is an all-around Edge Messaging Platform. Prior to version 0.22.5, a Heap-Use-After-Free (UAF) vulnerability exists in the TCP transport component of NanoMQ, which relies on the underlying NanoNNG library (specifically in src/sp/transport/mqtt/broker_tcp.c). The vulnerability is due to improper resource management and premature cleanup of message and pipe structures under specific malformed MQTTV5 retain message traffic conditions. This issue has been patched in version 0.22.5. | |
| CVE-2024-3187 | Med | 0.39 | 5.9 | 0.04 | Oct 17, 2024 | This issue tracks two CWE-416 Use After Free (UAF) and one CWE-415 Double Free vulnerabilities in Goahead versions <= 6.0.0. These are caused by JST values not being nulled when freed during parsing of JST templates. If the ME_GOAHEAD_JAVASCRIPT flag is enabled, a remote attacker with the privileges to modify JavaScript template (JST) files could exploit this by providing malicious templates. This may lead to memory corruption, potentially causing a Denial of Service (DoS) or, in rare cases, code execution, though the latter is highly context-dependent. | |
| CVE-2024-39503 | Hig | 0.39 | 7.0 | 0.00 | Jul 12, 2024 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ipset: Fix race between namespace cleanup and gc in the list:set type Lion Ackermann reported that there is a race condition between namespace cleanup in ipset and the garbage collection of the list:set type. The namespace cleanup can destroy the list:set type of sets while the gc of the set type is waiting to run in rcu cleanup. The latter uses data from the destroyed set which thus leads use after free. The patch contains the following parts: - When destroying all sets, first remove the garbage collectors, then wait if needed and then destroy the sets. - Fix the badly ordered "wait then remove gc" for the destroy a single set case. - Fix the missing rcu locking in the list:set type in the userspace test case. - Use proper RCU list handlings in the list:set type. The patch depends on c1193d9bbbd3 (netfilter: ipset: Add list flush to cancel_gc). | |
| CVE-2023-51779 | Hig | 0.39 | 7.0 | 0.00 | Feb 29, 2024 | bt_sock_recvmsg in net/bluetooth/af_bluetooth.c in the Linux kernel through 6.6.8 has a use-after-free because of a bt_sock_ioctl race condition. | |
| CVE-2023-4806 | Med | 0.39 | 5.9 | 0.02 | Sep 18, 2023 | A flaw has been identified in glibc. In an extremely rare situation, the getaddrinfo function may access memory that has been freed, resulting in an application crash. This issue is only exploitable when a NSS module implements only the _nss_*_gethostbyname2_r and _nss_*_getcanonname_r hooks without implementing the _nss_*_gethostbyname3_r hook. The resolved name should return a large number of IPv6 and IPv4, and the call to the getaddrinfo function should have the AF_INET6 address family with AI_CANONNAME, AI_ALL and AI_V4MAPPED as flags. | |
| CVE-2023-3019 | Med | 0.39 | 6.0 | 0.00 | Jul 24, 2023 | A DMA reentrancy issue leading to a use-after-free error was found in the e1000e NIC emulation code in QEMU. This issue could allow a privileged guest user to crash the QEMU process on the host, resulting in a denial of service. | |
| CVE-2016-6828 | Med | 0.39 | 5.5 | 0.00 | Oct 16, 2016 | The tcp_check_send_head function in include/net/tcp.h in the Linux kernel before 4.7.5 does not properly maintain certain SACK state after a failed data copy, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (tcp_xmit_retransmit_queue use-after-free and system crash) via a crafted SACK option. | |
| CVE-2026-34859 | Med | 0.38 | 5.9 | 0.00 | Apr 13, 2026 | UAF vulnerability in the kernel module. Impact: Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will affect availability and confidentiality. | |
| CVE-2026-34772 | Med | 0.38 | 5.8 | 0.00 | Apr 4, 2026 | Electron is a framework for writing cross-platform desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Prior to versions 38.8.6, 39.8.0, 40.7.0, and 41.0.0-beta.8, apps that allow downloads and programmatically destroy sessions may be vulnerable to a use-after-free. If a session is torn down while a native save-file dialog is open for a download, dismissing the dialog dereferences freed memory, which may lead to a crash or memory corruption. Apps that do not destroy sessions at runtime, or that do not permit downloads, are not affected. This issue has been patched in versions 38.8.6, 39.8.0, 40.7.0, and 41.0.0-beta.8. | |
| CVE-2017-12133 | Med | 0.38 | 5.9 | 0.00 | Sep 7, 2017 | Use-after-free vulnerability in the clntudp_call function in sunrpc/clnt_udp.c in the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) before 2.26 allows remote attackers to have unspecified impact via vectors related to error path. | |
| CVE-2016-9373 | Med | 0.38 | 5.9 | 0.01 | Nov 17, 2016 | In Wireshark 2.2.0 to 2.2.1 and 2.0.0 to 2.0.7, the DCERPC dissector could crash with a use-after-free, triggered by network traffic or a capture file. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-dcerpc-nt.c and epan/dissectors/packet-dcerpc-spoolss.c by using the wmem file scope for private strings. | |
| CVE-2016-7180 | Med | 0.38 | 5.9 | 0.01 | Sep 9, 2016 | epan/dissectors/packet-ipmi-trace.c in the IPMI trace dissector in Wireshark 2.x before 2.0.6 does not properly consider whether a string is constant, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (use-after-free and application crash) via a crafted packet. | |
| CVE-2026-34854 | Med | 0.37 | 5.7 | 0.00 | Apr 13, 2026 | UAF vulnerability in the kernel module. Impact: Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will affect availability and confidentiality. | |
| CVE-2025-31197 | Med | 0.37 | 5.7 | 0.00 | Apr 29, 2025 | The issue was addressed with improved checks.
