CVE-2024-46859Hig0.517.80.00Sep 27, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: panasonic-laptop: Fix SINF array out of bounds accesses The panasonic laptop code in various places uses the SINF array with index values of 0 - SINF_CUR_BRIGHT(0x0d) without checking that the SINF array is big enough. Not all panasonic laptops have this many SINF array entries, for example the Toughbook CF-18 model only has 10 SINF array entries. So it only supports the AC+DC brightness entries and mute. Check that the SINF array has a minimum size which covers all AC+DC brightness entries and refuse to load if the SINF array is smaller. For higher SINF indexes hide the sysfs attributes when the SINF array does not contain an entry for that attribute, avoiding show()/store() accessing the array out of bounds and add bounds checking to the probe() and resume() code accessing these.
CVE-2024-46821Hig0.517.80.00Sep 27, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/pm: Fix negative array index read Avoid using the negative values for clk_idex as an index into an array pptable->DpmDescriptor. V2: fix clk_index return check (Tim Huang)
CVE-2024-46813Hig0.517.80.00Sep 27, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Check link_index before accessing dc->links[] [WHY & HOW] dc->links[] has max size of MAX_LINKS and NULL is return when trying to access with out-of-bound index. This fixes 3 OVERRUN and 1 RESOURCE_LEAK issues reported by Coverity.
CVE-2024-43858Hig0.517.80.00Aug 17, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: Fix array-index-out-of-bounds in diFree
CVE-2024-38552Hig0.517.80.00Jun 19, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix potential index out of bounds in color transformation function Fixes index out of bounds issue in the color transformation function. The issue could occur when the index 'i' exceeds the number of transfer function points (TRANSFER_FUNC_POINTS). The fix adds a check to ensure 'i' is within bounds before accessing the transfer function points. If 'i' is out of bounds, an error message is logged and the function returns false to indicate an error. Reported by smatch: drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/dcn10/dcn10_cm_common.c:405 cm_helper_translate_curve_to_hw_format() error: buffer overflow 'output_tf->tf_pts.red' 1025 <= s32max drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/dcn10/dcn10_cm_common.c:406 cm_helper_translate_curve_to_hw_format() error: buffer overflow 'output_tf->tf_pts.green' 1025 <= s32max drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/dcn10/dcn10_cm_common.c:407 cm_helper_translate_curve_to_hw_format() error: buffer overflow 'output_tf->tf_pts.blue' 1025 <= s32max
CVE-2024-35905Hig0.517.80.00May 19, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Protect against int overflow for stack access size This patch re-introduces protection against the size of access to stack memory being negative; the access size can appear negative as a result of overflowing its signed int representation. This should not actually happen, as there are other protections along the way, but we should protect against it anyway. One code path was missing such protections (fixed in the previous patch in the series), causing out-of-bounds array accesses in check_stack_range_initialized(). This patch causes the verification of a program with such a non-sensical access size to fail. This check used to exist in a more indirect way, but was inadvertendly removed in a833a17aeac7.

CVE-2017-8797Hig0.517.50.30Jul 2, 2017The NFSv4 server in the Linux kernel before 4.11.3 does not properly validate the layout type when processing the NFSv4 pNFS GETDEVICEINFO or LAYOUTGET operand in a UDP packet from a remote attacker. This type value is uninitialized upon encountering certain error conditions. This value is used as an array index for dereferencing, which leads to an OOPS and eventually a DoS of knfsd and a soft-lockup of the whole system.

CVE-2026-40886Hig0.507.70.00Apr 23, 2026Argo Workflows is an open source container-native workflow engine for orchestrating parallel jobs on Kubernetes. From 3.6.5 to 4.0.4, an unchecked array index in the pod informer's podGCFromPod() function causes a controller-wide panic when a workflow pod carries a malformed workflows.argoproj.io/pod-gc-strategy annotation. Because the panic occurs inside an informer goroutine (outside the controller's recover() scope), it crashes the entire controller process. The poisoned pod persists across restarts, causing a crash loop that halts all workflow processing until the pod is manually deleted. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.0.5 and 3.7.14.
