Description
The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it reads from or writes to a memory location outside the buffer's intended boundary. This may result in read or write operations on unexpected memory locations that could be linked to other variables, data structures, or internal program data.

NOTE: some of these details are obtained from third party information. | ||
| CVE-2007-5690 | 0.00 | — | 0.00 | Oct 29, 2007 | Buffer overflow in sethdlc.c in the Asterisk Zaptel 1.4.5.1 might allow local users to gain privileges via a long device name (interface name) in the ifr_name field. NOTE: the vendor disputes this issue, stating that the application requires root access, so privilege boundaries are not crossed | ||
