AI security and governance platform Zenity announced a significant $125 million Series C funding round, led by Norwest, signaling a heightened enterprise focus on the security risks posed by autonomous AI agents. The investment round saw participation from new strategic backers including Qumra Capital, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Hitachi Ventures, and LG Technology Ventures, alongside re-investment from existing partners like Vertex Ventures and Intel Capital.
Unlike traditional AI security solutions that concentrate on model protection or input filtering, Zenity's platform is designed to monitor and control the runtime actions of AI agents operating within enterprise environments. These agents are increasingly integrated into various SaaS platforms, cloud infrastructure, developer workflows, and business tools, granting them access to critical resources such as internal email, cloud storage, CRM data, and source code repositories.
This deep integration, while driving efficiency, creates novel attack surfaces. A compromised or manipulated AI agent could inadvertently leak confidential data, initiate unauthorized financial transactions, or misuse connected tools. Zenity's approach aims to establish deterministic governance over these inherently non-deterministic agentic systems, moving AI defense from reactive log analysis to proactive threat prevention.
The Zenity platform offers real-time visibility and preventive guardrails for agentic environments.
