Yubico has rolled out firmware version 5.8 for its YubiKey hardware security keys, significantly expanding their utility beyond traditional login authentication. This update introduces robust support for hardware-backed passkeys in enterprise workflows, enabling verified authorization for critical actions such as document signing, managing digital identities, and even approving AI-driven processes.
