Intel 471 has announced significant enhancements to its Verity471 threat intelligence platform, introducing two new AI-powered capabilities: MCP471 and Agent471. These additions are designed to empower security teams to counter the growing use of artificial intelligence by adversaries, making threat intelligence more accessible and actionable. The Verity471 platform's core function is to transform adversary tradecraft into pre-attack intelligence, facilitating proactive threat hunting and enabling organizations to act on threats before they are weaponized.
With the introduction of MCP471 and Agent471, Verity471 aims to provide a more holistic view of an organization's security posture, allowing for faster and more scalable responses. MCP471, built on the Model Context Protocol, acts as a connector, integrating Verity471 intelligence directly into existing AI tools and agentic workflows such as Claude, ChatGPT, and custom harnesses. This integration positions Intel 471 as a native component within automated defensive tools, enabling security teams to combine external threat intelligence with their internal data for richer context.
Agent471, on the other hand, is a native AI agent within the Verity471 platform. It is designed to reason across an organization's intelligence, resolving actor aliases and pivoting across various data sources in a manner similar to a human analyst. This agent provides cited, decision-ready answers, helping analyst teams access intelligence more rapidly and reducing the need for deep expertise in actor names, aliases, or operational modes. Agent471 facilitates quicker connections between disparate pieces of intelligence that might otherwise remain siloed.
Carl Manion, Managing Vice President at Gartner, commented on the evolving cybersecurity landscape, stating that "Preemptive cybersecurity will soon be the new gold standard for every entity operating on, in, or through the various interconnected layers of the global attack surface grid (GASG)." He further emphasized that detection and response alone will be insufficient against AI-enabled attackers, necessitating preemptive countermeasures that can act independently of humans.
Michael DeBolt, president and chief intelligence officer at Intel 471, highlighted the significance of these new AI capabilities. "MCP471 and Agent471 are critical milestones pointing to the innovation we are building into Verity471 as they not only help analysts do their jobs more efficiently, but they act as that extra set of hands many people in the security industry wish they had," DeBolt stated.
DeBolt also noted the broad applicability of these new AI features, suggesting they will help customers achieve new heights across numerous use cases. These include unearthing deeper, faster context to enrich investigations, generating regular briefings for senior leadership to inform risk decisions, and supporting various other critical security functions. The platform's enhanced capabilities are poised to redefine how organizations approach threat intelligence and proactive defense.
