FortiClient Flaw Allows Arbitrary Process Termination
An unverified ownership vulnerability in FortiClient Windows allows authenticated attackers to terminate arbitrary processes via an exposed communication port.

The issue, identified as an Unverified Ownership Vulnerability (CWE-283), resides within the fortimon3 driver and could permit an authenticated attacker to terminate any process running on the affected system.
The vulnerability stems from an exposed minifilter communication port. Minifilters are kernel-mode drivers used in Windows to intercept and filter file system operations. By interacting with this exposed port, an attacker with existing authenticated access to the system can send crafted commands to the fortimon3 driver.
