Managed WordPress hosting platform FlyWP now offers proactive security against zero-day exploits through its new FlySecurity Pro add-on, powered by Patchstack's virtual patching technology.
FlyWP, a provider of managed WordPress cloud hosting and server management, has announced a significant enhancement to its security offerings with the integration of Patchstack's vulnerability intelligence and virtual patching capabilities. This new feature, branded as FlySecurity Pro, is available as an add-on within the FlyWP platform, aiming to provide customers with proactive protection against emerging threats.
The core of FlySecurity Pro lies in its ability to deploy mitigation rules automatically as soon as new vulnerabilities in WordPress core, plugins, and themes are disclosed. This "virtual patching" approach blocks known exploit attempts in real-time, even before official security updates are released by vendors. This strategy is designed to close the critical security gap that often exists between the public disclosure of a vulnerability and the availability of a stable patch, a period during which sites are most vulnerable.

Key features include real-time vulnerability monitoring across WordPress core, plugins, and themes; automated mitigation rules to block exploits; timely security intelligence and alerts upon vulnerability disclosure; and centralized security management within the familiar FlyWP interface. To encourage adoption, every eligible site receives 30 days of protection included.

FlyWP complements this with its user-friendly cloud infrastructure and workflow tailored for agencies and developers.
