Delinea Integrates AI Assistants with Access Governance Data

Delinea's new Fastpath MCP Server allows finance, IT, audit, and compliance teams to query access governance data using natural language AI assistants.

Delinea has introduced Delinea Fastpath MCP Server, a new capability designed to bridge the gap between access governance data and the AI assistants organizations are increasingly adopting. This integration, powered by the Model Context Protocol (MCP), empowers finance, IT, audit, and compliance teams to interact with their access governance data through natural language queries. The system provides detailed, cross-application answers regarding access risk, access reviews, and audit readiness, even offering remediation options within seconds.

Organizations often grapple with complex ERP security models that can generate thousands of segregation of duties (SoD) conflicts. This complexity can significantly slow down remediation efforts and audit preparation. Fastpath MCP Server aims to alleviate this burden by enabling teams to query live Fastpath data using plain language. The system highlights the most critical risks, thereby accelerating remediation and reducing the time spent preparing for audits. A key benefit is the elimination of data migration requirements, allowing teams to deploy the solution quickly and ensure that all queries reflect their current operational environment across integrated applications.

"Our customers spend too much of their time turning access data into decisions," stated Jason Mitchell, EVP of Product & Technology at Delinea. "Fastpath MCP Server gives that time back. Finance teams and business application owners can ask a question in their own words and get a clear, prioritized answer they can act on, grounded in the same data their auditors already rely on."

The Fastpath MCP Server offers significant value across various organizational functions. It accelerates access analysis and audit preparation by moving teams from identifying SoD conflicts to developing remediation plans more rapidly. By posing questions like "Are we ready for our audit?", users can gain immediate insights into open access reviews, pending reviewer actions, and SoD risks lacking mitigating controls, all consolidated across every connected system.

Furthermore, the solution provides cross-application visibility, enabling teams to inquire about users, roles, access risk, controls, and access reviews across more than 100 integrated cloud and on-premises applications. This includes major platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, and Workday, offering a unified view of access governance.

Fine-grained risk insight is another core advantage. With over thirty out-of-the-box native connections, the server surfaces risks down to the lowest securable object. It leverages SoD and sensitive access rulesets developed by audit experts for each application's specific security model, adhering to the COSO framework and ISACA remediation best practices.

Neil Poynton, Director of ERP at Chromalox, commented on the new capability: "Getting answers out of our access data used to mean building Excel lookups and stitching data points together by hand. With Fastpath MCP Server, we’ll be able to ask a question in plain language and pull together the information held in Delinea Fastpath in a fraction of the time. It’s an exciting addition to our solution."

Fastpath undergoes independent audits under SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2, and its reports are utilized by leading audit and consulting firms for testing IT general controls and access controls critical to financial reporting. The new AI-powered capability operates within this same audited environment, ensuring that all data and answers are governed and originate from the source that auditors already trust. Importantly, the feature is read-only, and access is strictly bound by user permissions, preventing any modification of data within Fastpath by connected AI assistants.
