The Debian project has released Debian 13.5, the fifth point release for its "trixie" stable distribution. This update serves as a maintenance release, incorporating approximately 100 Debian Security Advisories and addressing bugs across more than 130 source packages.
The patches included in this release cover a wide range of critical infrastructure components, including the Linux kernel, Apache HTTP Server, OpenSSH, sudo, systemd, OpenSSL, glibc, and FreeRDP. These updates are essential for maintaining the security and stability of Debian-based environments, ensuring that known vulnerabilities are mitigated.
System administrators currently running Debian 13.5 do not need to perform a full reinstallation. Fresh installer images containing these security fixes will be made available through the project's official download channels.
