Key new features in MCP Server 2.2 include interactive in-host review surfaces. Supported hosts can now visually display compliance posture, patch approval queues, policy blast-radius previews, remediation reviews, and RBAC access-certification reviews directly within the assistant interface. This allows IT teams to review pending decisions visually rather than sifting through text outputs.

Another major addition is the Patch by Severity policy creation. Users can now agentically create these policies by selecting any combination of Automox severity levels. This streamlines the process, enabling teams to transition from natural-language intent to governed patch policy creation more rapidly without manual console configuration.

Live capability discovery is also enhanced, allowing the AI agent to ascertain live tool availability based on read-only modes, module filtering, credentials, and opt-in safety flags. This feature clearly indicates the exact settings required to enable specific tools, informing IT teams about available functionalities and how to unlock those that are not currently active.

Furthermore, the release includes structured fallback for unsupported hosts. While interactive surfaces render visually on supported hosts, unsupported systems will receive the same information in a clean, structured data format, ensuring consistent functionality regardless of the MCP client version.

Automox MCP Server 2.2 encompasses the Automox Console and Webhooks APIs, deliberately excluding operations that might expose secrets.
