Apple Seeds visionOS 26.6 Beta 1 to Developers With Security Fixes
Apple released the first beta of visionOS 26.6 to developers, promising security patches alongside new features for the Vision Pro headset.
Apple on Tuesday seeded the first beta of visionOS 26.6 (build 23O5728e) to registered developers, marking the next incremental update to the operating system powering the Apple Vision Pro. The release comes roughly a month after the public launch of visionOS 26.5 and continues Apple's roughly monthly cadence of major visionOS updates.
While the release notes primarily highlight developer-facing changes and performance improvements, Apple confirmed that the update includes security fixes. Specific Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) identifiers have not yet been published; they typically appear on Apple's security updates page closer to the public release of the final version.
VisionOS 26.6 beta 1 is available through the Settings app on Vision Pro devices enrolled in Apple's Developer Program. Apple recommends that developers install the beta on dedicated test hardware rather than primary devices, as beta software can contain stability issues.
The update arrives as Apple continues to expand the Vision Pro ecosystem.
