The new feature builds upon existing application control mechanisms by providing command- and session-level visibility into the behavior of trusted AI agents. Organizations can now centrally manage policies for both traditional applications and these AI agents, establishing real-time governance over their actions. This ensures that AI agents operate within defined organizational policies and compliance requirements.

The urgency for such controls is underscored by recent industry data. A Cloud Security Alliance report indicated that 82% of organizations have unknown AI agents running in their environments, and 65% have experienced an AI agent-related security incident in the past year. This highlights a critical gap in current security postures, which were not designed for the autonomous nature of AI agents.
