AccuKnox has officially launched AgentZ, a comprehensive platform aimed at empowering enterprises to build, deploy, and manage AI agents at scale. The new offering consolidates the agent, its execution environment, associated tools, workflows, permissions, and governance into a single, cohesive system. This integration aims to streamline the transition of AI agents from experimental phases to production environments, eliminating the need for organizations to piece together disparate components.
At its core, AgentZ operates on a structured model comprising Organizations, Workspaces, Agents, Workflows, and Sandboxes, with a robust user and role management system for centralized administration and access control. Workflows can leverage agents for computation, sandboxes for isolation, skills for reusable functionalities, runtime credential injection, and triggers to automate execution. This architecture provides a flexible yet controlled environment for deploying AI-powered operations.
A key differentiator for AgentZ is its model-agnostic approach. The platform supports a wide array of Large Language Models (LLMs), including OpenAI, Claude, and Grok, allowing teams to switch underlying models without necessitating a complete rebuild of the agent infrastructure. This separation of agents, workflows, and runtime controls from the specific LLM ensures adaptability and future-proofing.
Security is a paramount concern addressed by AgentZ through isolated execution environments. Each agent operates within its own sandbox, equipped with a dedicated virtual machine and filesystem. Administrators can meticulously configure vCPU, RAM, filesystem access, domain whitelisting, package management, environment variables, and network access, thereby establishing a strict boundary around agent activities and resource interaction.
AccuKnox positions AgentZ as an "agentic AI platform with security built in," rather than a security product that merely utilizes AI. The platform's design prioritizes zero-trust controls, granular tool-level permissions, and sandboxed execution as foundational elements.
