quiche-tea-curut

GHSA-p7g6-w5rr-h6fx

Malicious code in quiche-tea-curut (npm)

Details

**Severity:** Critical

**Affected versions:** `= 4.3.4`

Part of a self-republishing campaign: the package ships autopublish2.js, which in a loop gives the package a new random name, bumps its version, rewrites package.json and runs `npm publish` to publish the package again under the new name. Self-replicating publication is the propagation step of a registry worm and fills the registry with copies. Version examined: 4.3.4; tarball SHA-256 d92dc72e7544f050e01a393f92623e33abc0ed4d1ae8a9bc9dfd676a9bf5add2.
