Details
**Severity:** Critical **Affected versions:** `= 1.0.0` ## Source: kam193 (637014df713a194c727be0c3c8a6883b80fa29c7e66be089dd3bb82e49b915b4) Packages that seem to be created by a legit bug bounty hunter. Designed to look like created by different organisations, they contain a couple of data exfiltration (including all env variables) and potential remote code execution (though the URL seems not to serve any code). --- Category: MALICIOUS - The campaign has clearly malicious intent, like infostealers. Campaign: 2025-05-sl4x01 Reasons (based on the campaign): - The package contains code to exfiltrate basic data from the system, like IP or username. It has a limited risk. - exfiltration-env-variables - impersonation --- Credit: [OpenSSF](https://github.com/ossf/malicious-packages) ([source](https://github.com/ossf/malicious-packages/blob/49d0cfba3689ed9b195d101d3a2a964c6a77f767/osv/malicious/pypi/solana-test-suite/MAL-2025-4240.json)) **References:** - https://bad-packages.kam193.eu/pypi/package/solana-test-suite - https://github.com/ossf/malicious-packages/blob/49d0cfba3689ed9b195d101d3a2a964c6a77f767/osv/malicious/pypi/solana-test-suite/MAL-2025-4240.json - https://github.com/sl4x0 - https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-mc4r-c5wr-f89q
